I’ve been slacking on the squat content. I post everything to TikTok but I thought I was boring everyone on here with it… apparently that’s not the case🫶🏼 sooo 95 for a beltless 5x5 feeling like a dream.

The man, the myth, the legend that is @evolutionsf_coaching also told me tonight my squat form was near on perfect and I could’ve cried 🥹 this gym has seen me through knee surgery recovery and now to big scary squat pbs. LOVE YOU FOREVER 😭❤️✨

People need to talk more about periods and this is a hill I’m willing to die on.

First video was taken last week. I was just starting my period. I felt super fatigued, painfully bloated and wanted to cry watching this back.

Second video, a couple of days ago. I felt energised, sane and my stomach was pain free.

There’s nothing wrong with either, but girls - cut yourself some slack. I eat very similarly each day and weigh the same so I know it’s caused by my hormones and cycle. Telling your brain that doesn’t always work… but seeing this side by side is wild.

I posted this on TikTok the other day, but feel like it’s accurate to share after today’s session and I know a lot of you can probably relate 🫶🏼👇🏼

I never cease to feel uncomfortable in my skin. I catch myself looking in every reflective surface, not because I’m vain, but because one day I hope to see something I approve of. The cruel joke is I have criticised myself at every single weight and if I don’t fix my mindset - I’ll spend my life at war with myself.

Instead of spending all my free time in the gym or heavily focused on my diet - I’m slowly trying to rebuild my relationship with myself. I’m putting my energy back into work, hobbies and the other things that bring me joy 🫶🏼

this is a really daunting thing for me to post on here. But I’ve been struggling for a while now and I think it’s important to share.

So this is for the guys and girls who want to thrive in the gym, counting reps instead of the weight on a screen beneath your feet and setting life goals, not aesthetic ones 🫶🏼

This sounds so lame, but if you’ve struggled with anything similar, I’d love you to just comment a heart or a little line to show even the people closest to you that it’s something we might not all share, but we all experience ❤️

Putting like 2x your bodyweight on your back is as much a mental battle as it is physical. Sometimes I can’t help but psych myself out. It could be mood, fatigue or literally as simple as the wrong song playing.

And this is nowhere near my pb so I’m not sure why I felt so intimidated by it, but I cannot stress how much everyone here is just your biggest cheerleaders 😭 Plus seeing @mum_jonescrew_fitness will never not make my day ❤️
