The things we’d recommend doing in Porto if you’re thinking of going. We only had two full days and it was so easy to pack everything in, but be prepared to w a l k :
🍷 C&D wine tour through Air B&B @cdportolocaltours - we visited three different port distributors in Gaia with seven tastings and learnt so much about the history and wine. Couldn’t recommend more.
🚤 River boat trip
🍎 Bolhão market and Bom Successo market
☕️ Visit alllll the cafes (separate video pending)
🥯 Odete bakery (purely for the vegans! Vicki managed to find a vegan pastel de nata here!)
🌅 Espaco Porto Cruz rooftop bar for a sunset wine
🚉 São bento station
🌉 Don Luis bridge (it’s hard to avoid anyway tbh)

Will share a list of coffee shops, bars n restaurants some time as wellll ❤️

Thank you SO much to @l_gilchrist_93 for being the best partner at the @nwk_maidstone2.0 comp and being able to take on every single bloody muscle up 😂❤️

Made it through the day without panicking or getting in my head which is wild for me. And @_kaylageo got her first AND SECOND MUSCLE UPS. Absolutely loved every sweaty second with my gym fam 🥰 1 year of CrossFit and currently two pints downnnn ✔️

Buttt Andy @evolutionsfgym has demanded a 180kg squat from me this year, so we must soldier on. Pray for me.

Jumped on this little tiktok trend the other day and was kinda surprised by the changes in my body over the last two years.

I always fluctuate a bit, but after lockdown and starting the cafe I had put training on the back burner. It’s around my year anniversary since starting CrossFit and I’m a v happy little egg. It’s the most rounded I’ve been as an afflete ever. I’ve PB’d pretty much all of my lifts and added a whole heap of new skills to my repertoire.

I still find it jarring watching my body change, adding muscle rather than just losing weight is a head fuck when you’ve spent the majority of your life striving to be skinny, but it’s soooo worth it for all the things my body can do 🥹

“CroSsFiT wiLl MaKe yoU WeAk”

Granted I built the foundations of strength in my powerlifting / bodybuilding / strongwoman days - however - I’ve managed to maintain that strength AND build on it while becoming a more rounded ‘athlete’. I’m fitter, stronger and more fulfilled with training than ever before. Currently cutting and have PB’d for the first time in years with more left in the tank 😭

My last PB at 145kg was an absolute grind. I needed spotters because I was nervous and felt a bit broken by it. This felt relativelyyyyy comfortable for a max and I considered adding more weight or repeating to try and get better depth but didn’t want to jinx it 😂 v happy girl, 150kg pending 🤙🏼

Also ty ty to my two second homes for taking me under your wings and coach Olli. Cherish you guys more than you could ever know 🫶
