Now I am not your typical ‘fit-chick’, nor would I want to be. Not that there’s anything wrong with that, but my build and body will never fit that category and I am finally accepting and content with that.
Fitness is for everyone, no matter what you enjoy. Do not let social media or what’s a popular fad of the moment deter or dictate you. Find you own passions and loves – you do not have to share my love of weights in anyway. But, all I ask if that you leave stereotypes at the door.
From dancer to powerlifter and strongwoman – with a two year blip for knee surgery. I will endeavour to share the trials and tribulations of weight training in the body of an asthmatic 23 year old girl with a dodgy knee. Oh, I’ve also started up running in isolation, so we’ll see how that goes too.
*Please be aware I am not qualified in personal training, nutrition etc. so while I share my own experience, please take what I say with a pinch of salt and always consult the pros. If you need pointing in the direction of some incredible ones – I am more than happy to help!
